THE DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER ABIA STATE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, ASEPA ABA ZONE AND ENVIRONS, HON CHIEF ROWLAND NWAKANMA MEETS WITH THE NEWLY INAUGURATED JUDICIAL OFFICER FOR SANITATION COURTS IN ABA ZONE

THE DEPUTY GENERAL MANAGER ABIA STATE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, ASEPA ABA ZONE AND ENVIRONS, HON CHIEF ROWLAND NWAKANMA MEETS WITH THE NEWLY INAUGURATED JUDICIAL OFFICER FOR SANITATION COURTS IN ABA ZONE

The DGM ASEPA Aba Zone and Environs, Hon Chief Rowland Nwakanma has called on the judicial staff appointed as Presiding Officers and Members Sanitation Court’s in Aba Zone to work in synergy with the agency to ensure that the citizens and residents of the zone keep their environment clean.

Chief Nwakanma who made the call at a meeting with the Presiding Officers in the zone and the Chief Registrar High Court of Justice, Umuahia Mrs Victoria Ananaba at his office in Aba regretted that the agency has done a lot of sensitization to educate the people of Aba on sanitation rules and regulations but they still dump refuse indiscriminately and in an unauthorized places.

He assured the judiciary that ASEPA has formidable Task Force known to the police and other law enforcement agencies who arrest offenders to avoid dubious miscreants impersonating ASEPA staff to dupe unsuspecting public.

In her speech, The Chief Registrar Abia state High Court of Justice Umuahia Mrs Victoria Ananaba charged the newly appointed Presiding Officers to do their work without fear or favour and fine offenders to serve as a deterrent to those who flout sanitation laws.

Mrs Ananaba also urged them to generate revenue for government and cooperate with ASEPA Aba Zone and Environs to ensure the realization of the objective of their appointments.

Speaking also, his honour Magistrate Mrs Chinenye Mathew Ibe told the officers to take their assignments serious and thanked the DGM ASEPA, Chief Rowland Nwakanma for the reception accorded them.
