The State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has restated his administrations commitment towards the overall development of sports in the state.

Dr Ikpeazu who stated this while receiving formally in his office, foreign partners from the Brooke House College Football Academy London, who are currently in the state to scout for young talents during the ongoing Abia School Sports Festival.

The Governor represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr A.C. B Agbazuere while welcoming the delegates to the state disclosed that the interest of the UK football college in fishing out young talents during the ongoing abia school sports festival will lead to wealth creation as well as promote the overall wellbeing of the citizenry.

The State Chief Executive further assured them of all necessary government support to enable them achieve their purpose of being in the state.

In their separate speeches,some of the delegates from the Brooke House College Football Academy London including, Mrs Rachel Caine, the facilitator/School Contact, Mr Johnny Ogbah and a Sustainable Development Services Expert, Mr Chukwudi Onwudinanti said they are in the state to scout for and select during the ongoing Abia school sports festival, two young talents between the ages of 15-17 for scholarship in Brooke House College Football Academy London, where they will be trained to become professional footballers.
