SIR ENWERENMADU WOOS NZE IHEANYI UBANI BACK TO THE PDP, SAYS HIS WEALTH OF EXPERIENCE IS NEEDED NOW

The Abia state commissioner for Local Government and chieftaincy affairs, Rt Hon Sir. Christopher Enwerenmadu has described the former transition Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, Nze Iheanyi Ubani as a resourceful fellow in the game of politics in Ntigha, Isiala Ngwa North and Abia in general.

Sir Enwerenmadu gave the commendations when he payed a courtesy visit to the former local Government Chairman at his Amapu Ntigha country home, decried the circumstances that led to his departure from the PDP despite his huge contributions, says he has come to urge him to return to PDP, as those behind his defection then has been shown the way out of the party.

He recalled with nostalgia his days as the Executive Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, and attributed the achievements his administration recorded, especially in the provision of critical infrastructures in the council to the support and advice he received from Nze Iheanyi Ubani who served then as the LGA party Chairman, and mentioned the achievements to include but not limited to the construction of a Two kilometer Obikabia–Okpuala Ngwa Road, construction of office blocks to ease the office problem confronting the secretariat, construction of office blocks at the Okpuala Ngwa police station, drilling of boreholes in all the 20 ABSIEC wards with generating sets, regular grading of roads to mention but a few, then explained that the PDP have a very credible and qualified candidates who would fly the flag of the party in next year’s general elections which include Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for president, Prof Uche Eleazar Ikonne for Governorship, Col. Austin Akobundu for Abia central senatorial seat, Prof. ACB Agbazuere for Isiala Ngwa federal constituency, and Chief Collins Ugochukwu Iheonunekwu for Isiala Ngwa North state constituency.

In his response, the host Nze Iheanyi Ubani thanked Sir Christopher Enwerenmadu for finding time to visit him despite his tight schedule, he described the Hon. Commissioner as a man of his words, whom he has enjoyed his friendship for over three decades, promising that he would not only return to PDP, but work for the victory of the party in next year’s general elections and promised to release his office blocks at Amapu Ntigha to the PDP as their campaign office, also used the occasion to thank Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu for courageously defiling all pressures to tow the part of justice and equity, as he’s optimistic that Prof Uche Eleazar Ikonne, if elected will take the state to her next level of development, adding that history will certainly be kind with him.

In their separate speeches, a community leader, Sir. Felix Ogbonna and the youth leader, Ikechukwu Solomon Amalaha all pledged to work for the victory of the PDP in Amapu Ntigha, especially with the return of Nze Iheanyi Ubani back to the Party.

In a votes of thanks, the Deputy Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, Chief Chuks Amaike thanked Sir Enwerenmadu for all his supports towards the political liberation of the people of Amapu Ntigha then assured him of their hundred percent votes for all PDP candidates.

Hight point of the visit was the formal defection of over fifty members of the APC and APGA Members in Amapu Ntigha led by their LGA treasurer, Mr. Raymond Adighiogu to the people’s Democratic party, while the PDP Chairman for Ngwa Ukwu ward 5, Hon. Blessing Jiakponna, a party stalwart, Mr. Darlington Emelogu, the Education secretary of Isiala Ngwa North, Mrs. Onyinyechi Chidi Williams and Hon. Ebere Ihuoma were some of the dignitaries that accompanied the Sir Enwerenmadu to the visit.
