HINTS ON ABIA SIP OFFICE UNDER MR CHINENYE NWAOGU.

The office of Abia State Social Investment Programme coordinates all federal and International intervention programmes in the state which main aim is addressing all socio-economic challenges facing the vulnerable and ordinary Abians.
The SIP office which Mr Chinenye Nwaogu occupies as the State Focal Person has many social programmes it manages which include Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme (GEEP), Npower, Conditional Cash Transfer, School Feeding, Trader Moni etc.
It is evident to note that these social activities has helped in growing the state’s economy immensely . Within the past four years, over 300,000 Abians which include Children, youths and women have benefited from the various activities of the SIP.
The Npower Programme employed over 16000 Abians with monthly stipend of 30,000, the school feeding programme which employed the services of over 3000 cooks that access over 347 million Naira monthly, the GEEP made available 4billion Naira loan accessible to MSMEs and over 20,000 of Abia MSMEs have benefited from soft loans ranging from 50,000 to 100,000, the Conditional Cash Transfer programme where over 10000 vulnerable Abians are paid 5000 Naira monthly stipend.
In addition, the SIP guilded over 15000 Abians to benefit from the Federal Government survivalfund, free CAC registration and COVID 19 loan to MSMEs and their staff. These activities has been helping in lifting Abians standard of living and also played a pivot role in giving Abia economy a positive flip. It is said to have pumped over 15billion to the Abia economy. The office also coordinates the State government’s effort to develop the MSME sector representing the State at the Federal level on many of the MSME activities which has brought so many federal and international awards to Abia State government.
The office has worked alot to ensure Abians benefit from all federal government social activities and had also helped the state government in developing policies which has helped in making Abia youths self reliant and socially responsible.

For clarity purpose, Abians should know that these moneys are sent directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries after undergoing thorough verification with their BVN by the Federal Government through the Bank of Industry (BOI) and CBN. No money comes directly to Abia SIP office nor do it benefit from the proceeds. The details of the beneficiaries can be found in the Federal Government Social Register and also at Abia SIP office.
