COVID-19 GRASSROOT SENSITISATION/DISTRIBUTION OF HAND SANITIZERS BY THE HOUSE MEMBER REPRESENTING ABA NORTH STATE CONSTITUENCY, HON. SIR UZODIKE AARON.
In his usual way of reaching out to his constituents, the house member representing Aba North State Constituency in the state house of assembly, Hon. Sir Uzodike Aaron today toured 3 wards out of the 9 wards in his Constituency and 12 wards in his Local Government, (Asaokpulor Autonomous Community, ward 12, Urratta ward 6 , Ariaria market and Umunne Ato Autonomous Community ward 9), to sensitize them on the current world dreaded disease known as “Corona Virus” (COVID-19) and to share sanitizers as a way of encouraging them.
He observed with utmost dismay how most indigents of the state ignore the ‘sit-at-home’ order given by the Governor(Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu). He made them to understand that disobedience to such laws may be disastrous to both themselves as individuals, their families, Abia State and Nigeria at large.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining at least 1.5 meters apart and avoiding crowd; it was to this effect that he avoided an overcrowded gathering.
The legislature who went in the company of Hon. Barr. Chizuru Kanu,(immediate past Commissioner for Petroleum, Abia State), said that the health and safety of all citizens of Abia state especially Aba North people is his priority.
In their reactions, HRH, Eze Enyinnaya Aaron, Alilielemba 3 of Asa Okpulor and Eze Ugochukwu Ihediwa of Umunneato, Ariaria, thanked the lawmaker and prayed that God will bring this pandemic to a halt.
MAY GOD BLESS ABIANS AS WE ‘SIT-AT-HOME’
