COMMUNIQUE ISSUED AT THE MEETING OF ELDERS COMMITTEE OF PDP,ABIA STATE HELD ON 31ST DAY OF MARCH,2022 AT AGUIYI IRONSI CONFERENCE CENTER, UMUAHIA

At a meeting of the Elders Committee of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) constituted by virtue of Articles 23(1) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).

After in-depth deliberation on the affairs of the People’s Democratic Party, Abia State resolved as follows:

*The Committee elected and affirmed the election of Chief (Sir) Tony Ukasanya as Chairman of the Committee and Chief Emma Ibegbulam as Secretary.

*The Committee passed a vote of confidence on the Leader of the Party in Abia State, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu (Ph.D) and the State Working Committee of the PDP led by the Chairman, Rt.Hon.Dr.Alwell Asiforo Okere.

*The Committee affirms and supports wholly the decision on zoning of the Governorship of Abia State in 2023 and other ancillary decisions by the State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee of the Party.

*All members of the People’s Democratic Party are directed to channel any grievances and misgivings through proper Party channels for clarification.
