ABSU JUPEB CENTER SET FOR THE 2020/21 JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION

All is now set at the Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB), Abia State University (ABSU)Uturu Center, for the commencement of its 2020/21, Joint Universities Preliminary Examination taken place simultaneously across different centers in the country from September 7, 2020.

Speaking with the media team, ABSU, the Director, JUBEB, Professor A. C Akpanta, explained that the Students were undergoing revision studies in their respective classes, with strict compliance to all the COVID 19 protocols, including wearing of nose masks, social distancing, provision of running water and sanitizers at different points in the center.

He expressed satisfaction with the level of compliance by the Students to the COVID 19 preventive measures, and thanked the Vice Chancellor, Distinguished Professor E. Uche Ikonne for introducing the JUPEB program in Abia State University especially within this period.

It will be recalled that as part of his effort to give more opportunity for students to gain admission for higher education, the Vice Chancellor, with the approval of the Senate, introduced the JUPEB program in Abia State University August 2019, with a modern Hostel facility provided for the Students by his administration.

More than 250 students will be sitting for the Examination in the ABSU JUPEB Center, and successful candidates will have the opportunity of gaining direct entry admission into 200 level in their chosen course of study here in Abia State University or other preferred Institutions.
