A VISIT TO THE OSISIOMA- EKEAKPARA ROAD WILL CONVINCE YOU
The massive road construction of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu’s administration otherwise known as caterpillar revolution has been felt in so many areas in the State, particular in the area of road infrastructural development in the major cities of the State.
An example of such developmental stride is the construction of Ekeakpara road in Osisioma which is a very strategic road that leads to Osisioma NNPC Depot and beyond.
The Osisioma Ekeakpara road has been in a very deplorable condition over the years though the previous governments tried to fix it but failed to combat the menace of the flooding which ravages this particular spot at Osisioma Junction.
The intervention of the Ikpeazu led government, to construct the 3.5km Osisioma Ekeakpara road with the modern rigid pavement technology with an average of 14meters width and a standard drainage channels on both sides of the road and underground culvert with a view to take all the water from this junction to a nearby burrow pit along the Port Harcourt expressway is to bring a permanent solution to the issue of flooding being witnessed on this road each time it rains.
We cannot forget the laudable efforts of the honourable commissioner for works, Barr Bob Chiedozie Ogu, who has been working tirelessly to make sure that the contractors handling road projects in the State executes their jobs as specified in the contract agreement.
With the award of this road project by the State government to an experience and qualified construction company, Wilangy Construction Company, headed by Chief Wilfred Okeke, the durability of this road is guaranteed.
